2009 Founders: The Foundry Fellowship Riders

foundry02-72Since our beginning, I have seen a growing love of serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thru Him we continue to serve His children and our brothers. We have had people join and or ride with our group in all stages of a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Him and the love of riding motorcycles, I have witnessed in myself and others a spiritual growth that is wonderful.

foundry01-72-thm+ Our servitude consists of many things. Some of them are Angel Tree, a participation in reading the entire Bible in front of the Harris County Courthouse, assisting young men at Youth Reach, which is a home/school for some of Gods children that have made mistakes in their lives, and finally, anything that the Holy Spirit moves one of our members to move on.
On a personal note, my family has made some lifelong friends through this group. It has been and I hope will continue to be, a joy to ride with people who put Christ in the lead.

foundry03-72-thm+ As a group we also do some things that are just plain fun, and in this process if opportunity arises to witness to someone, we are ready. Eight of us completed the Iron Butt 1000 miles in 24 hours, and are planning the 2000 miles in 48 hours. We ride every other Saturday approx. 150 miles , ending with a meal at some out of the way diner. We also have a long weekend spring ride and some of us are going to see the Christmas lights in Natchitoches, LA.

Any of you that are not riding in a Christian biker group we would strongly suggest that you join one. You are missing out on a lot of fun and the chance of introducing a lost soul to the Son of God.

Looking forward to serving Him with You,

Chip Spivey

One of our members sent me the lyrics to the song “Born Again” by Third Day because she felt it described our group.

foundry04-72-thm+ It feels like I’m born again
It feels like I’m living
For the very first time
I’m living for the first time
It feels like I’m breathing
It feels like I’m moving
For the very first time
I’m living for the first time in my life
